Spring Break Camp (April 1-5)

Join Piedmont Park Conservancy for our first ever spring break camp! We’ll spend the week of April 1-5 playing outside, participating in STEAM-focused activities, riding our bikes through the Park, and learning about the plants and animals that call the Park home.

EnviroVentures Summer Camp

Registration opens on January 8, 2024.  Our camp fills quickly; to ensure your spot and take advantage of our early registration discount, be sure to register early!

Piedmont Park Conservancy is excited to offer a summer full of EnviroVentures for your children! EnviroVentures Summer Camp includes a variety of programs and activities focusing on experiential learning through active and educational programs.

EnviroVentures Summer Camp is offered to learners ages 5-10. Due to Georgia Department of Early Learning regulations we cannot accept any campers who will not be 5 years old before the program start date.

Each EnviroVentures Summer Camp session features outdoor sports and recreation, STEAM focused activities, exploration of the Park, arts and crafts, park stewardship, and much more! During our EnviroVentures Summer Camp all full day campers participate in daily swimming at our Aquatics Center.

2024 Weekly Themes

 

June 3-7: Ecosystem Explorers
Kick off your summer with a week full of ecology exploration in the Park!  From basic needs of plants and animals to food chains, this week of activities is the perfect way to start summer!

June 10-14: Predator Prowl

This week we will examine the relationships between predators and their prey.  Learn how animals stalk and camouflage in order to survive.  We will search for animals in the Park and uncover their survival strategies.

June 17-21: Incredible Insects *4 DAY CAMP WEEK–NO CAMP ON JUNETEENTH*

Have you ever wanted to know how a fly sees the world, or how to tell a weevil from a beetle? Spend a week getting to know these interesting invertebrates!

June 24-28: Nature Detectives
Explore the Park with us to see what mysteries we can uncover!  Join us as we use the scientific method and our five senses to work to solve some of nature’s mysteries.

July 1-3:  Mad Scientist *3 DAY WEEK*

Get messy with us as we learn about the scientific method through awesome experiments.  This week will be full of hands-on science discovery that shows us just how fun science can be!

July 8-12: Water Week
Explore the wonderful world of water and the importance of water conservation in this awesome week. The water cycle, water creatures and water labs will make this week a splash!

July 15-19: Slime and Scales

Uncover the differences between frogs and toads and discover the awesome adaptations of our scaly snake friends.  As we slither through the Park, we’ll explore how reptiles and amphibians survive in different habitats.

July 22-26:  Habitat Hunt

Who calls the Park home?  Join us as we uncover the secrets of the Park’s many habitats. From lake to wetland and meadow to forest we’ll check out Piedmont Park’s habitats while having tons of fun in the Park!

EnviroVentures Summer Camp: June 3 through July 26, 2024
Rates: $350/week

**The week of June 17-June 21 is a 4 day week and is prorated to a cost of $280 per camper. The week of July 1-July 3 is a 3 day week and is prorated to a cost of $210 per camper.**

PPC Member Rates: PPC Members Receive a $20 Discount

Member pricing is available for Piedmont Park Conservancy Members at the Park Advocate level and above. Get information on becoming a Piedmont Park Conservancy Member.

Counselor in Training Program

Our Counselor in Training program is a great option for those campers ages 11-13 that are interested in gaining work experience and serving as a leader for younger campers. The hours for the Counselor in Training program are the same as our regular camp hours.  There is a fee of $275 per week of camp for the Counselors in Training which covers a camp  t-shirt, training and regular supervision. The four day week of June 17-21 has a prorated fee of $220. There will be no CIT program offered the week of July 1-3. Interested in our Counselor in Training program?  Applications will be available in January 2024!

Park Leadership Team

Our Park Leadership Team is a great option for those ages 14-17 that are interested in serving as Park ambassadors. This application based program is designed for students to stay engaged with us during the ’24-’25 school year. The Park Leadership team will participate in a range of activities including: interacting with Park visitors, participating in public programs for the Park, developing and producing creative content for Park learners, and more! The Park Leadership Team meets for one training week Monday, June 24th – Friday, June 28th from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. Participants can expect to join the Conservancy at least once a quarter to complete or check in on service projects!
