Piedmont Park is open to the public daily from 6 am – 11 pm. There are always a lot of events and activities happening in the 200+ acres park. See below for the current status of Park attractions.

Green Market: Pre-order Pick-up only. Exception – Closed for Class A Festivals. Green Market is rain or shine.

COVID-19 Section: Piedmont Park Conservancy Updates

Piedmont Park Neighbors and Friends,

The purpose of this section is to update the public on closures and cancellations related to the Piedmont Park Conservancy’s programs and events.

The Piedmont Park Conservancy is closely monitoring the latest news and updates from the CDC, state and local government officials in order to make the most informed decisions relating to our events and programs.

NOTE

There are several events and programs that occur in Piedmont Park that are hosted by independent entities. Please check each organization’s website for their latest updates.

Park is Open: Providing over 200 acres of green space, Piedmont Park is open and available as a free resource to all Atlantans.
See below for specific area closures. If the City of Atlanta decides to close or limit visitation to Piedmont Park, we will update this page. 

Conservancy Operations Continue: At this time, the Piedmont Park Conservancy staff and office is continuing to operate.
Many of the staff members are working remotely, so please check with appropriate staff prior to stopping by the administrative office.

Closures, Cancellations or Postponements:

Areas:

  • The Tennis Center is closed. This venue is managed by a separate organization, please visit utatennis.com for more information.
  • Playgrounds are temporarily closed. Opening date TBD by the City of Atlanta.
  • Outdoor fitness equipment is temporarily closed. Opening date TBD by the City of Atlanta.
  • The Basketball Courts are temporarily closed. Opening date TBD by the City of Atlanta.

Events and Programs:

  • Through April 30th – All Love You Healthy Fitness classes are canceled.
  • Through April 30th – All volunteer opportunities are canceled.
  • Through April 30th – All Green Markets are canceled. See Green Market page for online and pre-ordering information.
  • Through April 30th – All history tours are canceled.
  • March 14th and 21st’s Phoenix Flies Tours are canceled.
  • March 15th’s Doggie Dash and 5K has been postponed. Date to be determined.
  • March 23rd’s Free Yoga in Piedmont Park is canceled.
  • March 24th’s Homeschool Day is canceled.
  • March 25th’s Landmark Luncheon Patron Party has been postponed.
  • April 16th’s Pull for Piedmont is canceled
  • April 21st’s Homeschool Day is canceled
  • April 23rd’s Landmark Luncheon has been postponed
  • April 27th’s Yoga is canceled

If a Piedmont Park Conservancy event or program is not listed, it is open/proceeding until further notice.
