Piedmont Park Conservancy, the City of Atlanta and WSB-TV recently celebrated the first Boundless™ playground and LEED-registered restrooms at Piedmont Park.

Mayor’s Grove Playground
“There is a need in this Park and in others around the city to create wonderfully interactive playgrounds that are accessible and fun for children of all abilities,” said Debbie McCown, former president and CEO of Piedmont Park Conservancy.
The new Mayor’s Grove Playground is a Boundless™ playground, which has sensory-rich features that allow children and caregivers of all abilities to interact with each other at his or her highest standard. On a Boundless™ playground, you will find:

Mayor’s Grove Restrooms
Bob Hughes – principal of the landscape architecture firm HGOR and board chair – said the Conservancy built the new Mayor’s Grove Restrooms to the high environmental standards by considering sustainable site development, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
“The Mayor’s Grove project sets the standard for the future development of Piedmont Park,” Hughes said. “We’ve had such great input from the community and are confident that we are doing something positive for park users and the environment.”
In addition to being ADA accessible, the new family-friendly restrooms will feature:
