Historic Park Tours are held the first and third Saturday of the month May through December. Learn about the history of Piedmont Park and get a little exercise, by joining a Piedmont Park Education Docent for a guided walking tour of Piedmont Park.
Tours last 60-90 minutes and cover all phases of the park's development - forest, the Walker farm, fairgrounds for the Piedmont Exposition of 1887, the Cotton States and International Exposition of 1895, the transformation of the fairgrounds into a suburban park, and the current status of Piedmont Park as Atlanta's premier urban park.
