Piedmont Park Conservancy now provides you with the tools and the expertise to compost, build terrariums and grow your very own prized plant using the latest techniques and support the Park while you learn. Learn how to have your own garden while living in the city indoors and out.

All programs are taught by Atlanta Gardening experts. Some of the programs available this year include:
  Compost Building From A to Bonsai
  All Things Iris

Compost Building: In this workshop you will learn how to build a hot compost pile to recycle the nutrients locked in kitchen waste and garden debris to help nourish the plants in your garden. Expert Duane Marcus will introduce you to all the essential parts and pieces of composting to ensure that your compost will provide the maximum benefits to the plants in your garden.

From A to Bonsai: The tradition of growing bonsai trees dates back over a thousand years and now you can experience this tradition by working on a tree of your own. This workshop will begin with a brief overview of the history of bonsai while also teaching you how to select and evaluate the correct material, styling your tree, repotting and care and maintenance.

All Things Iris: Iris expert Mike Moller gets your hands dirty in Piedmont Parks Iris garden while you learn how to divide and care for your precious plants. You will get to take home a special breed for your home garden at the conclusion of the class.
