Spring Break Camp

Piedmont Park Conservancy is excited to get our 4th annual Spring Break Camp underway! Our day camp focuses on environmental education and features many fun programs and activities in Piedmont Park. Spring Break Camp is being held April 5th through 9th and is open to children kindergarten through 5th grade. Please download our Parent Handbook for camp rules and policies.

Spring Break Camp is filled with excitement and fun. Campers will enjoy a variety of activities, including:
•  Park Safaris •  Environmental Education
•  Science Labs •  Atlanta History
•  Sports •  Story Time
•  Archeology

Camp hours are as follows:
  Drop Off 8am-9am
  Camp Hours 9am-4pm
  Pick Up 4pm-5pm
  After-care 5pm-5:30pm
Extra $50 fee required

Registration opens February 6th and runs through April 4th:
     Non-members: $200 per camper
     PPC Members*: $180 per camper

*PPC Members need to obtain a special coupon code before registering online in order to receive a discount. Please contact the Camp Registrar at 404.875.7275 or programs@piedmontpark.org in order to obtain your code.

Fees above are for the entire week of camp. We are not accepting registrations per day. For more information on Spring Break Camp, please download our Parent Handbook.

EnviroVentures Summer Camp

LEARN. PLAY. EXPLORE
Piedmont Park Conservancy is excited to offer a summer full of EnviroVentures for your children! EnviroVentures Summer Camp includes a variety of programs and activities focusing on experiential learning through active and educational programs. Each session features daily swimming in our new Aquatics Center, outdoor sports and recreation, organic gardening, Wheels Fridays, arts and crafts, park stewardship, special programs and much, much more!

EnviroVentures Summer Camp 2010 is offered to rising kindergarteners through rising sixth graders, June 1stth through August 6th (with a break for the week of July 5th).

  Dates Session Description
Week 1 6/1- 6/4 Exploring Ecology Explore the different relationships present in the natural world through games, labs and active play.
Week 2 6/7-6/11 Seed, Sprout, Grow! Get your hands dirty and make friends with some worms. Learn all about plants from gardening activities to photosynthesis labs and games.
Week 3 6/14-6/18 Incredible Insects Have you ever wanted to know how a fly sees the world, or how to tell a weevil from a beetle? Spend a week getting to know these interesting invertebrates!
Week 4 6/21-6/25 Sports Sampler Experience a week of fun physical activity. Field day, swimming, tennis, soccer and much more.
Week 5 6/28 – 7/2 Water Water Everywhere Explore the wonderful world of water! Water cycles, water creatures and water labs will make this week a splash!

Break 7/5-7/9 No Camp in honor of 4th of July Holiday

Week 6 7/12 – 7/16 Amazing Archaeology Do you dig it? Learn about human history with archaeology techniques. Dig, analyze and have fun with the past!
Week 7 7/19 -7/23 Nature Detectives Who calls the forest home? Explore our urban forest and learn about the many habitats and residents that live here.
Week 8 7/26 – 7/30 Garden to Belly From planting to harvesting and finally eating- Discover the path that food takes to get to your plate. 
Week 9 8/2 -8/6 Active Adventures This final week of camp is a chance to shake things up! We’ll participate in traditional sports, create our own games, and even experiment with some games from the past while learning about our bones and muscles.
