Pohlman & Stephens Wedding in the Park

Couple with Midtown skyline in background. Ceremony at Dockside and Reception at Greystone --October 17, 2009

How did the two of you meet?
Cliff and I met through a mutual friend. Chantra and I became wonderful friends in college and remained close. After college, Chantra went to work for KPMG, where she was placed on a project with Cliff. After months of working together, she told me she had someone she wanted me to meet. Chantra set up a happy hour where we met and the rest is history!

Dockside Ceremony

Why were you drawn to Dockside and Greystone for your special day?
We loved the idea of being in the middle of the city we live but also being outside on the water. It was a compromise since Cliff grew up on the water in Florida and I grew up in Atlanta. For us, it was the perfect match.

What was your favorite ceremony and/or reception moment?
My favorite part was our "alone" time after the ceremony and before the reception. We reserved a golf cart to take us into the park for pictures, which turned out to be my favorite shots.

And after finishing, we had our own little room within Greystone with our favorite drinks and appetizers. That was our caterer's and wedding planner's idea, and we are so thankful! It was a few moments to share with each other alone before going out to enjoy the party!

Would you recommend Piedmont Park venues to other couples?
Having our wedding in Piedmont Park was absolutely perfect.  Everyone was wonderful to work with and made our day the perfect day for us!  We still love going to the park on the weekends with our dog, Warren, so it is wonderful to be reminded of that special day on all our trips to the park.
