How did you two meet?
Jerome and I met in September 2007 in Orlando, Florida, where we were both attending a conference for work. It was clear from the beginning that we shared similar family values, were involved in our communities and we each possessed a strong sense of faith. We left the conference eager to learn more about each other. It wasn't long before Jerome traveled to Atlanta and our journey began. We spent the next 11 months making the most of the long distance relationship by seeing each other every 3- 4 weeks. Jerome proposed and I said yes on August 1st, 2008.

Why were you drawn to Magnolia Hall and Lawn for your special day?
Piedmont Park truly represents the heart of the City of Atlanta. I couldn't think of a more perfect place to introduce my new Houston family to my hometown. We also wanted to get married under the oak tree but I loved the fact that the site was flexible enough to move inside if we had bad weather. Fortunately, the day was glorious and the oak tree and the lawn were beautiful!

What would be your favorite reception moment?
Our first dance was truly special. I remember the sunlight streaming through the doors of Magnolia Hall and the dance floor seemed to glow.
In that moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the room (despite the fact that all eyes were on us).

Would you recommend Piedmont Park Conservancy venues to other couples? Why?
We would recommend the Conservancy without hesitation! The entire staff was friendly, flexible and focused on making our day special. Magnolia Hall will always be special to us.
