Tennis is one of the oldest sports played in Piedmont Park. In 1913, seven clay courts were built where the 1895 Cotton States and International Exposition’s Manufacturers and Liberal Arts Building once stood. Tennis proved so popular that eight additional courts were added in 1914.

Universal Tennis Management operates the Sharon J. Lester Tennis Center at Piedmont Park for the City of Atlanta Bureau of Parks. For more information on playing tennis in Piedmont Park, call 404.853.3461 or visit www.utatennis.com.
