The Active Oval playing areas consist of the running track, two soccer fields, two softball fields and two sand volleyball courts. For a complete list of rules regarding the use of the Active Oval ball fields and courts, please download the Piedmont Park Conservancy Active Oval Operating Rules.

• The soccer fields are now closed for the winter season.
• Cleats are allowed on the softball fields for permitted game day play only.
• Cleats are allowed on the soccer fields for permitted game day soccer play only.
• Cleats are not allowed for leisure play or practice play.

Please note that permitted play is not allowed on Fridays, which are designated for leisure play only. Friday leisure play reservations will be available in 2 hour increments on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up sheets for leisure play reservations are field specific and are located at the north and south ball field kiosks.

Reservation Applications:
Piedmont Park Conservancy aims to schedule reserved play for sports leagues and organizations in a fair and equitable manner, balancing the sometimes-conflicting objectives of accommodating Piedmont Park patrons with sustaining the quality of the sports fields and courts on the Active Oval. PPC will attempt to work with all applicants to find reservation slots that fit a desired schedule, but cannot ensure that all applicants will receive sports area reservations in the slots they seek. Active Oval reservations are available everyday except Friday. Available times may change seasonally. Please keep in mind when applying for field reservations that PPC Active Oval fields and courts are NOT lighted.
